Forgiveness is the act of unchaining yourself from thoughts and feelings that bind you to an offense, imagined or real, committed against you. It is a commitment to a process of growth and change. The first step is to recognize the value of forgiveness and the positive impact it can have in our lives. When we forgive, we release the control and power of the offending person and stop playing the victim. We no longer define our lives by how we have been hurt and instead can define ourselves by how we have grown.

First, imagine something that you really want. It could be money, health, a particular job, a partner, a vacation, happiness, or anything else. Imagine yourself with your desire; close your eyes and really get the picture of yourself with your desire.

Pay special attention to what you see about yourself in your imagined picture. Notice how you are talking. Notice how you are moving. Notice how you are walking. Notice how you are acting. Notice how you are feeling. Look at everything about yourself in your imagined picture, but in particular, notice how happy you are! Capture every detail that you can, and open your eyes.

Understand that the picture you just imagined of yourself with your desire exists already! You know it exists because if it didn't exist how could you tune into it? How could you see it in your imagination? When you imagined yourself, you were looking at the actual real version of you with your desire!

Can you see the difference between yourself right now and your imagined picture of yourself? Because your job is to become as much like the version of yourself in the picture as you can! Walk like that now. Talk like that now. Act like that now. Feel the same as that, now. Become as happy as that person, now. Be that person, now! When you become the person in your imagined picture you have shifted yourself to the frequency of your desire, and it must and will appear. Your imagination is showing you precisely the person you need to become. It is showing you what you look like and how to act and feel so that you can copy it and become that person!

To help you become more and more like the person in your imagination, practice closing your eyes and seeing yourself in the imagined picture with your desire as many times as you want. Seeing the imagined picture of yourself will continuously remind you how you need to be, feel, and act. Then come out of your imagination and go about your day doing your best to act and feel like that person, now. You will be amazed at how little copying it takes before you see the evidence that your desire is coming.

This is one of the most powerful processes you can ever do to make your desires appear with lightning speed. This process is based on the physics of the Universe. Use it! Practice it! You have The Power to your life; every force in the Universe will do anything for you, but you have to use The Power that you have!

Your subconscious mind and the law of attraction do not know whether you are imagining something or whether it is real. In Wayne Dyer’s book, "There is a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem", he refers to faster moving energies as Spirit. When you consciously apply faster moving energies by connecting with this source of higher frequency energy, then you can transform and raise lower frequency energies.

You can also think of it as having a vibrational access library card. Imagine that you accrue vibrational credit to be able to access certain books. So you go into the etheric library and ask for the books on JOY and PEACE.

The vibrational librarian swipes your card and tells you, “I’m sorry, but you only have enough vibrational credit to have the books on depression and conflict.”

But when you spend time every day managing your spiritual energy, you actually raise up your vibration to accrue “credit.” You then have access to the books or experiences that are vibrating at the levels of peace, love and joy!

These principles are some of the keys! They are the energy underpinnings that make things much more understandable in your life.

It is the balance of your vibrations in your energy field, which is the sum of your beliefs on various topics that creates your reality; it’s called your vibrational output.

Two Way High Vibrational Traffic

I hope this real life story about generosity and "two way high vibrational traffic" touches you:

"I often shop the Goodwill and Salvation Army Thrift Stores. I would suggest others stop in those stores not only to see what "bargains and treasures" you can find, but also once in awhile you will encounter someone who might be shopping for clothing for their children, as I did one time. After watching him holding shirts and pants up to his three children to see if they'd fit, he went to the checkout counter, and I got in line behind him. When he was told the total amount of his purchases, I handed the clerk the money to pay for his children's clothing. Of course, he didn't want me to pay his bill, but I insisted. I knew in my soul that I was making a difference in someone else's life.

Last week while shopping Goodwill, I got behind an obviously very poor mom. She had a baby and two toddlers, and it was just past lunch time. She had a small bag of potato chips for the three children to share. The toddlers were all looking at the candy and potato chips on the display case and begging for more to eat. They handed her several bags of treats, which she put back. I picked up several little bags of candy/treats, gave them to her with $3.00 to pay for them. She thanked me profusely. When I got home, I went to my mailbox and there was a completely unexpected check for a consulting job I had done about 6 months previously which I had forgotten about. The amount of the check................. $300.00 I was "paid back".

Unbelievable how the Universe takes care of us, maybe not always with money, but with JOY to our soul".

"Can I really do this?" Bob asked himself.

After all, he'd never even laid eyes on the woman and her two daughters until a few minutes ago, when he'd pulled into the gas station to fill up the tank.

He'd barely glanced at the rustbucket sitting on the other side of the pumps, hood up. Guess she's having some car trouble, he thought as he swiped his credit card and started the gasoline flowing. Lucky it didn't happen out on the highway or on some
deserted road in all this rain.

"Excuse me," came the voice from behind, startling him out of his idle wondering. The woman smiled a bit nervously and said,
"Could you please give us a jump start? The battery seems to be dead."

"Sure," he answered, before he even had a moment to think. "I guess so."

It's really only a few minutes out of my day, Bob told himself. No big deal. "Let me just get my jumper cables out of the trunk," he said.

A few minutes later, though, it was clear that the situation was going to require more than a simple jump start. "Well," Bob told the woman, "looks like you're going to need a new battery. This one seems to be shot."

The woman's face fell. "Oh," she said softly. "I'm up here from California with my two girls and I don't know what we'll do. I don't know anyone here, and I just don't have the money for a battery. Well, thank you for trying."

Bob stood there in the glare of the station's fluorescent lights,and although what happened next took only a moment, it seemed much longer to him.

This isn't just an annoyance, he told himself; this is an opportunity. An opportunity to really PRACTICE what I've been focusing on, a chance to put my faith in abundance into some real action. A chance to do something for someone else that really matters. And a chance to see if I really do have faith in abundance after all.

But maybe it's some kind of scam and she's a con artist just trying to get money out of unsuspecting "good Samaritans" while they're in a holiday mood. Who knows?

Then his thoughts swung back the other way again.

Well, it'll be around $100. That's a significant amount of money. It's not that I can't afford it, but it's not exactly like I have extra hundred dollar bills just lying around either, or no other obligations. It'll be a pinch, but ... should I just DO it? Can I? Giving big chunks of money to a total stranger in need - that's
not me. At least not the OLD me. But...

And then Bob heard the words coming out of his mouth:
"Look, it's Christmas. Why don't I just buy you a new battery as a gift so we can get you and your girls back on the road?"

"Oh!" The woman's hand flew to her lips as tears welled up. "Oh,I don't know. That's so kind of you, but it's ... it's just so much to ask."

"You didn't ask," Bob said. "Let's just go inside and see what they've got." A little embarrassed, he looked down and absently toyed with the battery cables. Hmm, that's odd, he thought. I don't remember the cables being loose. But they were now,
loose enough that the clamps twisted around easily on the battery terminals.

"Thank you," the woman said softly. Then she perked up a bit:
"But let's just try it one more time," she added, and climbed back into her car. Well, why not? Bob thought, and stepped back to give her the OK.

You've already guessed it by now, haven't you? She turned the key and her car started right away!

But that's not Bob's Holiday Miracle, although it probably seemed like one to the woman and her daughters. Bob's REAL Holiday Miracle happened the moment he let go of his old habitual (and usually unconscious) belief in scarcity and took action based on his new faith in abundance.

What Bob learned that cold, wet day was simply that we ALWAYS have faith and that we always ACT in accordance with that faith.

Faith isn't something we have to acquire. It's just that most of us, most of the time are putting every ounce of our faith into the idea of scarcity rather than abundance and into the belief that whatever can go wrong, will. We can then tend to focus our thoughts and feelings on THAT faith by uselessly worrying about, well, about virtually everything! Can't we?

As the 19th-century American writer and humorist Mark Twain so wonderfully put it, "I am a very old man and have suffered a great many misfortunes, most of which never happened."

The rest of Bob's Holiday Miracle was learning that simply being WILLING - willing to believe and willing to act - was the key: The key that actually started the car!

You see, my friend, the old saying about giving gifts really is true: It's the THOUGHT that counts!

Will Your Relationships Bring You Abundance?

I’m going to share something with you today that you really need to understand – on a gut level – before you can be rich and happy. Are you ready? Here it is:

Even if you learn ALL there is to know about money (how to make it, save it, invest it), if your relationships with others OR YOURSELF are dysfunctional, you will NEVER reach your full abundance potential.

I write to express myself and to share the steps I take to live a fuller, richer, happier life. By doing so, I actively practice my intentions and keep aligned on what is important to me. It brings a higher caliber of relationships into my life, and it gives me the strength to deal with the occasional curve ball thrown my way.

Here are some of the valuable lessons I’ve learned through the University of Hard Knocks:

We become the company we keep. Like attracts like. Be negative and you’ll attract negativity; be positive and you will attract positive relationships into your life.

Limit your exposure to toxic people. We all have them – friends, family or co-workers – that seem hell-bent on bringing us down to their level. Immunize yourself from their poison by maintaining healthy personal boundaries. Don’t be a martyr, learn to say no. When someone near you behaves badly, don’t engage with them — walk away if you must. Be a positive role model instead. Perhaps you’ll inspire them (when they are personally ready) by modeling a different, healthier attitude.

Envy and jealousy will get you exactly what you don’t want. Acknowledge these feelings, then release them and let go. Compare yourself not to others, but only to your best self.

Don’t be pressured into humility. Definitions of humble include: cause to feel shame; hurt the pride of low or inferior in station or quality marked by meekness or modesty. These definitions don’t fit with a healthy, positive self-esteem, do they?

Choose to use different language. The language you use directs your actions and therefore the path your life takes.

Avoid three dirty little words: try, can’t, and but.

When someone asks, “how are you?” don’t whine back, “I stepped in dog puke getting out of bed this morning, then I burned my toast, and now I gotta suffer through a dentist appointment…”. Instead, respond with something that is joyfully perfect in your world like, “I just had the best grilled cheese sandwich for lunch!”

Limit your exposure to mass media. Pull the plug on bad news. Be selective – record uplifting, humorous and educational programs and keep the boob-tube turned off otherwise. I don’t know who was murdered, what poor child was abducted and from where and who blew up how many people today, and you know what? I don’t want to know!

Focus on the bright side of life. I promise – there is always a bright side! What you think about is what you will get. Practice this skill by keeping a gratitude journal.

Stop looking in the rear view mirror. Live your life from this day forward.

How LOA Can Assist You In Your Goal to Become A Millionaire

Since The secret came out so many more people are now “wakened” to the idea of being able to direct their destiny! I have come across a lot of people wanting to apply the Law of Attraction, particularly to attract more wealth and fortune into their lives. It is probably one of the most important areas for which people truly see a change to transform their reality. At the same time I have read numerous books and articles devoting at least one chapter to this topic. In this article I thought I’d share some of the techniques I came across and techniques I use myself.

The first recommended technique is to really see yourself as a millionaire and feel yourself already being a millionaire. Focus on wearing clothes that make you feel prosperous and doing the things a millionaire does, such as looking at amazing houses and going out for lunch. Really focus on wealth and abundance instead of on lack or limitations, not having enough etc as that is what you will keep getting otherwise. If you think you “need” money, that is exactly what you will be attracting to your life: more “needing”! If you feel broke, guess what… you will attract more “brokeness” to your reality.

On the other hand, if you focus on an abundance of money flowing into your life and you really feel this abundance in every fiber of your body, you will create “money attracting vibes”! The interesting thing is, that the more you focus on abundance in your life, the more the “standard” in your mind shifts towards having money. Combined with the right action you will eventually attract that wealth into your reality. Your ideas and feelings shift from “I don’t have money” to “I am receiving more and more money” to eventually actually having it.

Another technique is to visualize your actual fortune. If your goal is to become a millionaire, then write out a a check made out to you for 1 million dollars and hang it somewhere in your house where you will see it often. Better still, make copies and hang them all around your house! Visualize a stream of money flowing into your life, like a river. Or visualize your bank account with a million dollars in it. You could even print out a bank statement, white out the amount and replace it with a huge number. See yourself with a full wallet, happily paying diner for a group of friends. Or anything else that you wish you could do if you had the money. Becoming a millionaire is great, but I assume you have this goal because you have some ideas as to how to spend it once earned. So really see yourself already wealthy! What you see in your imagination, is what you will eventually see for real with your eyes! This method is called “vivid visualization” and is extremely powerful. By practicing it, you will find that your self-image begins to conform to these new images in your mind. Your Emotions Affect What You Attract Into Your Life

The Law of Attraction states, "where I focus my attention with emotion and belief is what I will attract into my life." When you feel good, you are the creator of your experience.

An important aspect of using the Law of Attraction is tuning in to our emotions because we attract what we feel, not just what we think about. Just as our thoughts create energy, so do our feelings and emotions. It is no use thinking of attracting a dream partner whilst feeling lonely. Money will not come into your life if you think about wealth but feel strapped for cash.

Thoughts can change emotions. Emotions are what we use to communicate with the Universe, God, The One Source. Our thoughts backed with emotion let the universe know the strength of our desires.

The Law of Attraction involves our emotions. Our emotions provide the universe with valuable source information about us. Call it our "emotional guidance system". One of the most powerful influences we have to engage the Law of Attraction is our emotional feelings as a primary mode of experiencing our reality.

When we begin to pay attention to our feelings as an emotional indicator, we can become clearer of intention to attract to us what it is we truly desire in life. When we are emotionally uplifted, our vibrational signal resonates at a higher frequency in a more positive way.

When we feeling frustrated, angry and depressed, these emotions are broadcast on a lower Vibrational Frequency. This is a clear emotional indicator that we are not connected to our higher source and are experiencing unwanted things that are coming into our life.

By paying attention to our emotional indicator, we can become more consciously aware of when we are slipping into emotional states that lower our positive energy field.

Believe it or not, we exert more energy into resistance when we are in the lower spectrum field trying to resist all the things we don't want. We gain more higher energy by being emotionally connected to what it is we do want in our lives. This is the universal path of least resistance.

Don't let your negative emotions keep you stuck in a reality you do not deserve. Begin to focus on things in your life that are positive and meaningful to you. This might sound easier said then done but it does take more of your energy away from you to feel angry, depressed or stuck in a past that is not serving you any longer.

Turn on your Emotional Indicator and begin using it to stay in the positive, higher vibrations that you can sending out.

Resentment, hurt, bitterness and sadness just close our hearts and fill us with negative energy leaving no room for anything of value."

The pain of a recent unexpected break-up is still very raw. After all the love, the promises and expectations, It is normal that I feel hurt, sad and a tremendous feeling of loss. I thought this was it, my partner for the rest of my days but he changed his mind and did not give any clue that he was about to walk out. A feeling of resentment towards him for doing this to me and my children is totally warranted. How could he hurt us? How could he do this to his own children? So many questions. But do they serve me? Only if I learn from them.

I wrote the Thanksgiving Day quote as a reminder to myself. If I focus on everything I have lost and continue to feel all the negative emotions, I can only expect to attract more of the same into my life. As much as I want to believe that there is a future, there will be someone even better, of course it is difficult to even think that for a moment. But if I focus on the pain, the negative energy I send out will attract the wrong man, setting me up for more hurt in the future. I don’t want that, of course, but an unconscious belief will create the force that manifests that result again and again.

A friend asked me, “How did you attract this into your life?” I was angry with his reaction. I didn’t attract this break-up. I did everything I could to be a wonderful girlfriend and second mother to his children. But the Law of Attraction states clearly that we do attract everything into our life. We must take responsibility for our life and be on the cause side of the cause/effect equation. I must ask, “What did I do to cause this?”. I do not know but being the victim on the effect side does not serve me, it only keeps me in pain. What will it cost me to stay here? This relationship and possibly any future ones. Certainly inner peace and contentment.

I know that to create the life I want to live, I have to start with an attitude of gratitude.

I just remembered a format for prayer I learnt over twenty years ago - ACTS:
Adoration – of God
Confession – of sins
Thanksgiving – of all that we have, all that we are, all that we have received
Supplication – of all that we still ask for

Adoration and Confession are relevant when God is the Father of our life but here I want to concentrate on Thanksgiving comes before Supplication. In the Law of Attraction, we develop an attitude of gratitude in our thoughts and most importantly in our emotions because both give out energy. It is only when we are truly grateful that we can ask.

So what I am grateful for about my relationship? I am grateful that I met him, that we shared so many fun times, that he helped me be a better mother, that he shared knowledge with my sons, that he fixed my central heating system, that we learnt from each other, we experienced real happiness, togetherness, intimacy and a wonderful mutual love for each other. Some people never experience that intensity.

He is not in my life now, at least not today, but I know that he will not come back if he senses negative emotions of blame, hurt, shock, anger, bitterness, torment, suffering, rejection, neediness, pity, despair, powerlessness, panic. Who would want to go back to that? He once said he could feel my love vibes even though he was an hour’s drive away. So he can also feel the energy of negative emotions at a distance. So could any other man I meet and maybe he would be an even better man but I would never know.

Instead, I can use this pain constructively because it is often in the moments of pain that change occurs. We can stay in our comfort zone of discomfort but pain brings that all-important life-changing decision to do and feel differently.
How about courage, discovery, enthusiasm, optimism, inspiration, hope, pleasure, calm, acceptance, trust and, of course, self-love and respect?

Change can occur in the snap of a finger if we choose to try on a different way of being. I have an enormous wealth of personal development knowledge, skills and resources. I don’t need to look outside for help. I just need to change my state and be resourceful. The universe will only respond positively when I drain my heart of the negative clutter and fill up with positive energy.

So I am going to focus, really focus on something positive and be truly grateful for blessings. Let go of hurt and any negative state which does not serve me. Give thanks and more thanks. Go out into nature and breathe in the simple richness of creation and be grateful for what I have today. Tomorrow is tomorrow but today is all we truly have.

Law Of Attraction And Mental Equivalents

For every formed thing in this Universe, there is a "mental equivalent." Mental Equivalents are simply the mental images, or mental versions, of our desires; they are the thoughts and images from which we build our desires - or with which we find our desires. For everything you wish to create for yourself, there is a mental equivalent. Have you built a mental equivalent for the thing you most desire?

Whether you seek peace or riches, you need a plan; your plan is part of your mental equivalent. A mental equivalent was the airplane the Wright brothers had before their belief turned their mental equivalent into a physical reality. A mental equivalent is essentially the design, or pattern, around which a new reality will form -- if enough faith and/or action is present. Action isn't always required in order to experience a fulfilled dream or answered prayer; but thought is -- that's the mental equivalent.

Whenever there is action, though, there is a always a mental equivalent. You may have acted unconsciously; but there is at least unconscious mental activity stimulating your actions via your brain, nervous system, etc... You may have acted without thinking much about your actions; but you can't act without thinking "some" - on some level. There is always thought before action; when actions don't turn out so well, or don't produce very desirable results, it is simply a matter of a lack of faith, effort, or the proper mental equivalent. You may say, "But what if you have the right tools, and give it your all, but that's still not enough?" Still, you have attempted something before your tools and effort were adequate to the task. You have still not failed, however; you now have important information about what is needed to reach your goal.

Whether you seek peace, or riches and fame, you will need a mental equivalent; they are simply made up of different thoughts, pictures, or mental images. And, you'll find neither using the mental equivalent of the other; just as you wouldn't build a very good office building using the blueprints, or plans, for a birdhouse. The mental equivalent for peace is simply that - peace. A mental equivalent for riches will involve much more detailed, or "colorful," imaginings than those entertained by the average person - if the mental equivalent is substantial enough to inspire adequate faith or action to bring about a life of riches, that is.

When forming a mental equivalent, you think about your desire; and you do it in such a way as to inspire faith, joy, or the emotion you hope to experience in the moment your dream is realized, or "made real." You can visualize, or imagine, or plan, or pretend; it doesn't matter, as long as your desire is clearly framed in your mind, and your thoughts and feelings are of a "positive" nature. There often seems to be a magical element at work in the Universe and these conditions are often associated with answered prayers, or dreams coming true. But even if you end up having to "do all the work yourself," you'll benefit from the physiological effects of positive expectancy - more energy, clearer thinking, better decisions, less stress, etc...

The formula for attracting your desires - "Whatsoever you desire, when you pray, believing, will be given to you..." - starts with your desire for whatever it is you seek. When you dwell on your desire, your head will be filled with thoughts of your desire - thoughts you wouldn't be having if you were watching television, or doing some other unrelated thing. If you focus your mental energy, you can form your thoughts into a mental equivalent of your desire - basically a plan, or prayer. If you put enough faith, or energy, into your mental equivalent, it will take shape in this physical reality.

The Wright brothers were dealing with two different realities. In one, everyone knew that it was impossible for man to fly; in the other, people witnessed Orville and Wilbur invent an airplane. It would have been much easier for the Wright brothers to agree with common knowledge, or "conventional wisdom," and recognize the fact and "reality" that they were in a bicycle shop, and not an airplane factory -- to accept the "truth" and quit chasing a "stupid dream." But they had a mental equivalent, and were beset with a firm belief that man could fly. The Wright brothers couldn't predict the future but they certainly cast their votes by building a good mental equivalent.

Whatsoever you desire, no matter how unlikely, is a real possibility if you think about it. What do you want? If you don't have it, and you can't tell a really good story about it, you aren't thinking about it enough.

Action and the Universal ATM

What does this statement have to do with being an entrepreneur anyway? Everything, though the implications go far beyond your business and deeply into your life.

Consider the two parts of the statement. You may be familiar with the universal principle at play in the first part: “by thought, whatever you focus on is brought to you.” It’s the Law of Attraction. According to this Universal Law, what you think about expands in the universe and is attracted to you. It’s the vibe that you send out and receive back in kind.

The Law of Attraction works whether you are consciously directing your thoughts or just letting them flow without any deliberate intent. Regardless of whether you’re living as the driver or the passenger, you will arrive at the destination prescribed by the thoughts that you allow.

But you have a choice. You can consciously attract what you want by deliberately focusing your thoughts and letting yourself experience them with strong emotion. The emotions that will supercharge the attraction of your prosperous desires include love, faith, gratitude, and joy, among others. When you consciously direct your intent in this manner, you are bringing a second Universal Law into play – the Law of Deliberate Creation.

OK, is that it? Consciously direct my thoughts and then sit back on the sofa watching Seinfeld reruns until my desires materialize?

No.

The good news is that you’ve set the wheels in motion through Deliberate Creation and the desire you expressed in your thoughts already exists in energetic form. In a way, your desire was already deposited into your Universal Bank account. But at this point it still resides in the ether in non-physical, energetic form. To bring your desire into material form, to receive it, you need to take action.

Consider the Gospel according to Matthew quoting Jesus as saying (my intent is only to contemplate the universal wisdom in this passage, not to skew toward any religious denomination):

“Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it will be opened to you.”

Ask. Seek. Knock. Those are action words. The passage doesn’t direct us to sit and wait, but rather to take action.

How do we ask and seek and knock in business? We manifest what we desire in our thoughts, but then we get to WORK to receive it. We ask customers for their patronage. We seek the solution that delivers great value to our market. When doors close in our face, we knock with persistence until we find one that stays open.

We take action to connect, serve, and add value. We do all of these things by interacting with other people: customers, partners, vendors, employees and mentors. Through our action we bring the intention created in our thoughts, and already manifested in energetic form, into its physical equivalent.

Your actions make the withdrawal from the Universal ATM and through them you receive the desire that started as your mere thoughts.

I listened in to Lisa Nichols last night on the Virtual Abundance Expo. Her subject was: THE ABUNDANCE MINDSET FOR SELF-MOTIVATION

Lisa had so much to share. Starting with the recognition that you have to be your source in creating the world you want. While you will employ resources outside of you, the journey starts within you.

Gratitude is key. Go to a place of gratitude that you were chosen to do this work and that you are highly qualified for this work. She advised six steps:

1. Be very clear on the intention that you set and what you are deserving of.
2. Work in the mirror, for that is where you turn to self and where self-motivation begins. Self-help begins with the self, not outside. When grounded you can cope with any circumstances. Ask yourself why do you deserve to reach that goal? This will move you to an emotional level. Give three reasons why you deserve that goal.
3. In the mirror, tell yourself five things that you are prepared to do to reach that goal. How is that goal non-negotiatiable for you. Are you willing to get up at 3am, stay up late?
4. Create 3-4 action steps to reach your milestone. What is actionable?
5. Then create 2-5 milestones that you will pass through on the way to reaching the goal.
6. Instantly, starting today, stop and celebrate each time that you reach another milestone. Open a special bottle of wine, have dinner out, stop and throw your private party. Celebrating your milestones will keep you motivated to reach the next milestone.

Doing this work with yourself alone in the mirror is so simportant.

Before setting new milestones, write your "already done list" over your lifetime.
We do not celebrate our achievements enough, even birthdays are ignored as we age.

If you want to achieve success, it is important to celebrate previous success.

Lisa has published a book called “No matter what” the concept being that a goal is no longer an option. She said she would have it no matter what. Not that it would be nice but that it would happen despite distractions. Every other option is now off the table. In her raw and candid way she shares times when she had breakdowns that had to be changed into breakthroughs.

You will find yourself and in spite of yourself you will be successful.

What would our life look like if we took on the abundance mindset?

Here is an exercise to expose the lie. Take several blank sheets of paper, write the lie in pencil, skip 4 lines between each lie. The more successful you are, the more pages you will need. Take a red pen and write the truth in each space. Read the lie then the truth for 72 hours. By day 4 you will start to believe the truth so you can erase the lies written in pencil. That one exercise can change your life.

(Your name), I forgive you for…. This cuts shackles to shame, blame and guilt.
Tears will come but keep going.
(Your name), I commit to you that… and write seven commitments.

Abundance is a concept often debated in spiritual and entrepreneurial circles.

Entrepreneurs commonly use the catch-phrase "thinking BIG," but they really mean the same thing.

Abundance is tough to define because it's one of those unique ideas that must be experienced to really be understood ... it can't just be explained.

Yet the most encouraging part of adopting an abundant mindset is how it can connect you to people with totally different set of beliefs and values.

It instantly sustains inclusivity even with people who are dramatically different.

You will see change to the degree of Joy that you can attain and maintain. The higher the Joy you can create within you, the more spectacular the change, and the higher the Joy, the faster the change. Once you get yourself in Joy it is easy to maintain it, because your emanation of Joy attracts more Joy. The law of attraction will continually send you more feelings of Joy.

You cannot criticize or blame or complain when you are in Joy. You cannot be afraid when you are in Joy. You cannot speak negatively when you are in Joy. You cannot harm another when you are in Joy. Negativity cannot reach you when you are in Joy.

When you are in Joy you are compassionate. When you are in Joy you are considerate and caring. When you are in Joy you love others. When you are in Joy you appreciate everything. When you are in Joy you are in love with the world, and the Universe is in love with you."

Do You Know How to Think?

I was listening to Bob Proctor and Mary Morrissey in chapter 2 of "The 11 Forgotten Laws" today which is entitled "The Law of Thinking".

We all think, right? Actually no because busy mental activity is not the same as thinking. We become stuck in our situations because we are not thinking.

People who have invented anything started with a desire to find a solution. They fantasised around the problem until they developed results-based thinking. For every problem, there is a solution. For every question, there is an answer.

I love this idea,
"A blade of grass will grow through cement seeking the light."

We have the power within ourselves to achieve the circumstances which bring a life of fulfillment, enrichment, abundance and creative good, only we need to really accept that we do have that power. This comes from studying what we are thinking and improving the quality of our thinking.

Most people do not know how to think. It is not taught in schools or management colleges. Somehow we are expected to think amidst all the clutter, noise and stress.

Even a 1% shift in the quality of our thinking can make a huge difference over time.

10. KEEP READING & LEARNING - Read positive material, make notes and learn how to create the life you want. Add the date to your notes and ideas and refer back to them to see how the Universe has given you the resources you need on your journey. Stop Begging and Start Manifesting

Do you remember that first spark of hope you felt when you watched The Secret? I clearly remember the desire that filled my heart, knowing that – Yes, I can make my dreams come true – FINALLY!

But how many of you soon saw that hope dwindle into frustration? How many of you (and be honest now) started muttering things like:

- “It seems to work for other people, but I just can’t get it right.”

- “I’m frustrated that sometimes I can get it to work, but sometimes I can’t. What’s the trick?”

- “Why am I having so much trouble?”

- “I think the universe is against me.”

- “I’m trying very, VERY hard but still nothing is happening!”

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. About 97% of people also couldn’t make the Law of Attraction work for them the first time round. Think about it, just like anything else, you have to practice many times before you see success. A child doesn’t learn to walk without falling over a couple of times, right?

Well, it’s the same thing with your mind. If the only thing your mind is doing is transmit, transmit, transmit, the universe — which is trying to respond — can’t give you a single thing because you’re not allowing yourself to receive!

So, have the confidence in yourself and stop exhausting yourself by running around person to person begging for riches, and then wondering why nobody is dropping a penny in your cup (Hint: It’s because you’re running away too fast for them before they can even reach for their wallets).

Just think of your desire and leave it out there, go away, and trust that your cup will be filled with gold coins (or whatever it is you asked for) when the time is right.

2. Be Patient With Yourself

Receiving takes time.

Sadly, many people give up just a couple of steps before the finish line because they’ve decided that if it’s not working by now, it’s never going to work at all. Worse still are those who throw in more and more energy because they think that with more resources, the results will come faster.

This is like expecting 9 mothers to conceive and deliver a baby in 1 month. You also can’t bake cookies in half the time by doubling the temperature. You’ll incinerate those cookies to ashes!

In simple terms: Everything in this world has a natural development time, and this fact will not change no matter what resources you throw at it.

So relax and be patient. Remember that you too, as part of the universe, are also governed by the laws of the universe, and you cannot change the natural development time.

If you remember this, you will less likely work yourself up into frustration, or worse, push yourself into a downward spiral of negativity.

3. Support and Educate Yourself

Like the child who is learning how to walk, you need support. You also need some guidance on how to do it, together with the role models to look up to.

Many people give up because they think that “The Secret” is the “be all and end all” solution. Well, it’s NOT. “The Secret” is just a small portion. It was never intended, and has never been, the whole answer.

Coming to the conclusion that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work when all you ever did to educate yourself was watch “The Secret” 19 times (without looking at changing the habits of other areas of your life) is like coming to the conclusion that exercising is not an effective way to lose weight because all you did is run on the treadmill for 2 hours a day (but you’re still stuffing yourself with fried foods and cheesecakes).

So seek and be hungry for new knowledge. Also, make an effort to be amongst people or communities where you can support each other, learn from each other and also share new knowledge that you have found.

While the Law of Attraction is not an overnight delivery service, it will indeed deliver, if you do your part too!

are stratospheric expectations for Obama.

A majority of those surveyed say Obama will be able to achieve every one of 10 major campaign promises. Every. Single. One.

I don’t want to dampen hopes, and I’m not quoting this to make any predictions. But
reading this poll just made me think to myself…

How come it’s easier for people to believe in someone they haven’t met to make change in their lives, and yet… they find it so hard to believe in themselves?

The Powerful Vibration of Gratitude

Have you ever felt truly grateful for something? Have you ever been so thrilled that tears came to your eyes?

True gratitude feels wonderful.

Somewhere along the lines most of us adopted the idea that being grateful was something we were “supposed to” do—something we had to force ourselves into. Perhaps as a child we were told, “Tell Aunt Emily THANK YOU for the nice gift” but we hated the gift. So saying thank you became something we did, whether we really felt gratitude in our hearts or not. Our vibration of gratitude may have lost several degrees of sincerity—at least!

Whenever we are forced to do something—that is, we aren’t given the choice to act through our free will—we resist. As parents, we can see that we can MAKE children do things—like their chores, or behaving well—by manipulating the consequences. But this type of force does not foster a willingness in our children. We can never force their inner world, or the attitudes with which things are done. We can make sure our children say “Thank you”—but we can never make sure they sincerely mean it.

Gratitude has been given a bad rap—we SHOULD be grateful, we should be thankful for what comes into our lives, whether we like it or not. Is that any fun? Is that even being true to ourselves? I don’t think so.

But the feeling of “I SHOULD be grateful” is not gratitude. In fact, it’s far from it! Gratitude happens naturally, as a result of where we choose to focus our thoughts.

When we are in gratitude, we focus on what we have and love. If what we focus on grows, then what are we creating? More of that which we love and appreciate. I remember some times I felt profound, true gratitude:
• When I fell in love with my husband. That’s why people in love are so giddy—they are in sincere gratitude.
• When my children were born—or rather, several hours afterward once I’d had some time to rest and recuperate. I remember with each of my children, holding them close to me, feeling their warmth—and what I now recognize as their extremely high vibrational energy. I felt so much joy, tears fell steadily.

Children express gratitude without refrain. Have you noticed how easy it is to excite a child?
“Hey, guess what! We’re going to do something fun!” Already they are like eager puppies, thrilled to hear more, already rejoicing in something wonderful—they don’t even know what. Their body language changes, they get up and come running to you. “What? What is it?” Their faces are already beaming.
Gratitude is a natural state. It’s up there with childlike joy and childlike wonder. Only after years of disappointment have we learned to temper our joy and gratitude—to not get our hopes up. “I’d better not be too happy about this—what if something goes wrong?”

Little by little we learn to feel joy and gratitude less and less, to suppress those emotions that once flowed so naturally. Why? To avoid the pain of disappointment, right?

So our tactic is to NOT be as happy and grateful because we are afraid we will run out. It’s as if we learn to conserve our childlike emotions. What if there aren’t enough joyful events in life? What if I run out of joyful reactions?

Unlike a child, who fills himself with joy and excitement to such a degree he is nearly bouncing off the walls—we temper, we suppress, we deny. We fear.

But when we do this—what are we creating? What are we expecting? To not have a lot to be truly grateful about. Right?

Yet, can you see it? We have programmed ourselves to think this way. What if you were to fill yourself up with joy and gratitude once again. What might happen?
“Well, I might fall flat on my face,” you say. “I might be disappointed.”
Well, if you live in suppressed gratitude you certainly will. There’s no question Yes, there is risk. There always is. But this is faith. This is intention. This is trusting and knowing that good things are coming your way. Why? Because you are creating a vibration that insists upon it.

If you live in a high joy vibration of gratitude, you must experience things to be grateful about. Like attracts like. This is the law of the Universe—and the universe is committed to return to us what we give out...a hundredfold, and probably more!

But that takes a lot of trust to believe, doesn’t it? Yes, it does. And it also takes awareness—it takes consciousness.

Do you believe the laws of the universe are real? Do you truly understand the Law of Attraction? Do you know that your thoughts create?

True—your high joy vibration may also help to release aspects of you that are not in alignment with joy. You may have some old beliefs rear their ugly heads. But as you do, you can say to them, “Oh, I remember you! You’ve kept me bound all of these years. But no more. Thanks for stopping by on your way out…out of my life!” And let them go. Trust in your high vibration. Release what isn’t you. Release the lies and illusions that have made their home deep within you.

And welcome in the joy. Let your joy live in you through gratitude.

What do you love and appreciate? Family? Friends? Sunsets? Strawberry jam on fresh baked bread? The smile of a child?

Even if you aren’t feeling all that grateful right now—you can. You are the chooser of your thoughts—they don’t create themselves. True, you may have had them running on auto-pilot for a while, or stuck on tapes of low vibrations. But if you were listening to some awful, depressing music, would you keep listening to it?
“Oh, those songs are already playing—I can’t do anything about it. I usually just try to drown them out by doing something else—go shopping, or watch a movie to escape from it.”
No—you would turn it off. Or at least change the CD, right? The thoughts we let run through our head are like CD’s we choose to play. Our thoughts we play over and over are our song to the Universe. It’s as if our mind’s huge transmitter towers, sending out these “radio” waves—these frequencies—about what we want more of in our lives. What songs are you singing?

Do something different today. Stick in a Gratitude CD. Change your own station by changing the thoughts you CHOOSE TO ALLOW to be in your mind.

Choose thoughts of gratitude. Choose to simply think about that which brings you joy and happiness—even just a little.

Slowly your thoughts will shift. Remember, what we think about is a habit, and just like any other habit, it can take some persistence to shift to something new. But the nice part about changing this habit, is that the more you do it, the better you feel.

How to Shed Energetic Weight So Your Conscious Business Can Fly

Does your business ever feel “weighed down” to you? Like there’s something invisible holding it back from reaching its’ (and your) highest potential? This kind of “energetic weight” puts you and your business in a danger zone. And, often times it’s not what’s happening in your business that’s causing the sluggishness; it’s what’s happening in every other part of your life that’s affecting your business’ bottom-line.

If you want to reach your destination (your goals and dreams), you’ve got to identify the “weight” in your life and know how it energetically affects your conscious business. Once you do that, you can begin making the shifts necessary to release these energy drains and let the abundance and joy flow into your life, and your business.

There are two strategies I recommend to help you identify and release those things that are energetically holding you back.

Strategy #1: Take Inventory

One sure-fire way to help your business lift-off is to give yourself the gift of taking an “inventory.” No, this is not the time to count how many products you have ready to ship to customers; rather, this is the time to ask yourself questions that give you clarity on how your feelings, beliefs, stresses, circumstances and attitudes (about every part of your life) are affecting your business. Because, the truth is your business is a reflection of EVERY area of your life.

So, I invite you to begin asking yourself some of these questions. (If you haven’t gotten to it yet, my book The Freedom Formula, goes into a lot more detail on this process.) But, for now, you can begin by reflecting on these areas of your life:

Personal (health, relationships, family, recreation, hobbies, etc.)
Spiritual (faith, love, fulfillment, contribution, etc.)
Financial (gross revenues, expenses, net revenues, investments, savings, debt, etc.)
Business (mission, vision, products/services, operations, team, marketing, fulfillment, etc.)
Simply begin by reflecting on these areas and asking yourself these questions: 1) what is your current experience in that area; 2) what is your level of satisfaction and joy in that area; 3) what are your challenges in that area; and 4) what is your highest vision for that area of your life?

As you do this, be sure to keep in mind that you’re not looking at these areas to identify points of separation. Instead, you’re taking this inventory so you can find threads, themes, consistencies, unity and ultimately a fully integrated picture of your life. Because, it’s your integrated life that’s going to have the greatest impact on your business... that’s when you live in the FLOW, and manifest your desires with ease and with grace.

Strategy #2: Delegate

Another strategy that will help you shed energetic weight is to delegate the things on your to do list that don’t bring you joy. Why? Because when your “to do” list is filled with tasks you don’t enjoy, your energy drops... your frustration increases and the FLOW of everything good basically comes to a halt. On the other hand, when you do those things that bring you joy, you experience MORE joy, more love, more fulfillment, and more light as you feel more connected, more peaceful and more on purpose. Get the idea? It’s a snowball effect. Now, you may be asking yourself, can delegating really help you experience all this? And the answer is yes!

It’s easy to get started. Simply write down a list of everything you do and categorize your “to do” list according to these four categories: 1) don’t like doing; 2) love to do; 3) can be done later; and, 4) not worth doing at all. Once you have your list organized, start with the “delegate” list and identify at least three items you can hand off to someone else. And, use your newly found time to focus on the second category... things you LOVE to do! Then, notice how this shift helps to eliminate some of that “weight” you’ve been feeling in your business.

Using these two strategies (taking an inventory and delegating what you don’t enjoy) are two critical factors that’ll help you step into the abundant flow in your business. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to see how implementing these simple strategies will help you feel lighter in your business, more joyful in your life and more easily able to attract more of what you want. Once the energetic weight is gone, the good just keeps on coming!

You Always

One of the most damning things you can say to someone is,
“You always…” You know, “You always break things…make me mad…drink too much…embarrass me in front of others…do stupid things…spoil my fun…say that…play the fool…”

Keep telling your child that he always breaks things and he will carry on being clumsy. Keep telling your husband that he is dragging you down and he will, obligingly, carry on doing so. Keep telling your boss that he always takes advantage of you and works you too hard and sure enough, he will keep you working hard.

Telling someone they always behave in a negative way is so damning. It gives the message that you have given up on them having any chance of improving. You just expect them to keep behaving that way.

By always telling someone that they always do something, guess what? They will always do it. They are fulfilling your prophecy. If you understand the Law of Attraction you will know that if you do not want something in your life, stop focusing on it but instead focus on what you do want. When you start focusing on someone behaving a certain way and expect them to behave so, you will attract that behavior. Try it today.

Do You Believe You Are Already A Billionaire?

There was a young man who kept sighing and complaining about his poor life. He was wondering why he was so poor that he could not even afford to spend a day’s vacation by the seaside.

As he was complaining, an old man overheard him and tell him, “Young man, what if I give you the riches you want in exchange for everything you want in your life?”

The young man was overjoyed and said, “Sure, why not? After all, I do not have much left with me. What would you want from me?”

The old man began to make his offers, “Would you sell your left arm to me for $500k?”

“No, I won’t”

“How about selling your right leg to me for one million dollar?”

“Nope, don’t even think about it”

“All right, I want to buy your right eye with TWO MILLION dollars”

With a frightening voice, the young man replied, “NO! You’re crazy!”

The old man then laughed and said, “Young man. You worth more than 3 Million dollars and yet you still say that you are poor.”

The old man continued, “With those hands, legs and eyes, you can earn billions of dollars in your life.”

The young man just kept quiet and walked away with a precious lesson of his life.
The moral of the story is, you do not need all the riches in the world to be happy. There are just 2 things that you need to stay happy which are the attitude of gratitude and confidence.

A Work in Progress

Wheeler spoke of a participatory universe, one in which you and I are part of the equation. We are both catalysts for the events of our lives, as well as the "experiencers" of what we create... these things are happening simultaneously. We are "part of a universe that is a work in progress."

We are energy, everything around us is energy. What we do today, what we create also creates an energy that goes out into the universe with positive energy to create elsewhere. It is like sharing a “Feel good” moment only far more powerful.

So if what we create goes out multiplied and creates elsewhere, then we must also accept that what we destroy also goes out to destroy. Together, we create the healing or the suffering, the peace or the war.

Are our decisions and choices ecological ie are they good for us, good for others, good for the planet? Do our actions bring benefit or take something away from others, possibly creating harm and pain?

What we focus on comes back to us multiplied so my question is, what are you creating today? What are you focused on? Creating, building, nurturing … or breaking, destroying, hurting ? I suppose that depends on what do you want to attract in your life. Your choice. I hope you make a good one.

The greatest thief of human happiness and abundance is ungratefulness. Any lack in our lives - whether in money, health, or relationships - is simply the evidence of a lack of gratitude. If you focus on lack you are not being grateful, and that will bring more lack into your life. Yet the simple state of radiating gratitude summons everything to you.

No matter who you are or where you are, you can change your life with gratitude, but you must feel it with your whole heart and radiate it from every cell. Gratitude is not a mental exercise, and in fact, if you simply use your mind for gratitude it will have little or no power. True gratitude comes from your heart! You must think gratitude through your heart, speak gratitude through your heart, and feel it intensely in your heart.

Then practice gratitude relentlessly. As you practice gratitude you will attract more thoughts and feelings of gratitude. In a short time your entire being will be saturated with it, and you will experience a happiness that is beyond what you can imagine. This is what is ahead for you when you choose gratitude as your way of life. And if you can really live in this highest state of gratitude, you will never have to ask for anything. Everything you want will be given to you before you even ask, because gratitude is the magnetic substance that opens every single door in the Universe.

What The Blue Butterfly Can Teach You

What would you say to a terminally ill 10-year-old boy who has a dream of catching the most beautiful butterfly in the world?

The movie, The Blue Butterfly, is a classic quest tale, in the same category as the one of King Arthur’s knights and the Holy Grail. The Blue Butterfly is a beautiful, powerful story with a lot of depth. It touches on many subjects that are vital to manifesting our dreams, especially demonstrating how having the courage and perseverance to live our dreams pays off.

Everything Starts With A Dream
The film opens with Pete who is in the terminal stages of brain cancer and confined to a wheelchair, is being taken by his mother to hear a lecture. Pete’s father was killed in a car crash some years before so Pete lives alone with his mother. His dream is to catch the most beautiful butterfly on earth, the mythic and elusive Blue Morpho.

The lecture Pete and his mother are going to is being delivered by the eminent entomologist, Dr. Alan Osborne, who is Pete’s hero. A few weeks prior to this evening’s lecture, Pete had been bombarding Osborne with phone messages, begging the entomologist to take him on an expedition to Central America before the Morpho season ends. Pete desperately wants to take this trip while he is still well enough to travel.

Osborne refuses. He is clearly not a person who finds it easy to do things for other people. As Pete’s desperation grows, however, Osborne reluctantly and somewhat gracelessly gives in to the boy’s request during a final three-way confrontation between himself, Pete and Pete’s mom.

The entomologist’s agreement to fulfill Pete’s ultimate wish takes them both on a life-and-death adventure that will transform their lives.

Osborne guides Pete and his mom deep into the rain forest, where they set up a base camp and meet with the local group of Indians, the Bribri, whose myths and legends claim they are descendants of the Blue Butterfly. The elusive Blue Morpho evades capture day after day. On the last auspicious attempt to collect a specimen, Alan runs through the jungle chasing the elusive Blue Morpho with the boy on his shoulders. Could it be that the rarest and most beautiful butterfly on earth is toying with its would-be captors?

Based on Actual Events
Perhaps more to the point, however, is the fact that the events depicted in the movie actually happened in fact. In real life, a world-renowned entomologist did carry a boy suffering from terminal cancer into the jungle in order to fulfill the boy’s most cherished dream. In real life, upon his return to civilization, the boy’s cancer miraculously went into remission. Today in fact, at the age of 22 that butterfly-chasing boy is now a healthy young man who is free of cancer.

In the film, William Hurt plays Alan Osborne, the entomologist. In real life, the man is the renowned entomologist Georges Brossard. Meeting Brossard was a terrifying experience for William Hurt. “This guy is outrageously alive! His enthusiasm is overwhelming. He did something very brave. I was inspired by his spirit,” Hurt continues, “Director Lea Pool really resisted sentimentalizing everything, and that is one of the film’s greatest strengths.” Francine Allaire, the film’s producer, comments, “We wanted to make a film that could touch everyone’s heart. I imagined people of all ages and origins believing that life is worth living and that miracles do exist, that love can transform people.”

Follow The Power of Your Dreams
This story gives us insight into what we need to live our dreams. Setting our sights on something is a powerful motivation. For Pete, the goal of catching the beautiful butterfly was symbolic of what he most wanted for himself — to live. Everyone had given up on him except his mother.

The butterfly and the trip itself was his hope for the future. Deep lessons were learned by all involved in this goal of affirmation. His mother, ever protective of her ailing son, learned how to let go. Osborne, for all his rough edges, in finding the way to express his tender admiration for the young adventurer and to give himself over to the selfless application of helping another achieve something great, had to learn to open his heart to love.

I hope this story gives you a newfound zest for life and maybe even spawns a dream of your own.

No Risk – No Fun
Life has changed since the time when most of us did not live in cities. Things now are regulated and perfectly set up. Our lives, once dominated by huge forces beyond our control, like the weather and the migrations of animals, are much more regular and controlled. It's like a machine that never stops running. In the old days we were exposed to many dangerous situations and life was more of a challenge. That life of challenges forced us to evolve and helped us face our fears in much more concrete ways than we often do today.

In today's world, the challenge is to live your dreams. It is the challenge to not get wrapped up in useless and meaningless daily activities that do not support your spirit. It requires you to step out of the 'machine' and reconnect with what your heart desires.

Chicken Soup for the Soul

Mark Victor Hansen and his friend, Jack Canfield, had an idea to write a book of short stories that would touch the souls of many people. After the book was written the title seemed to be not quite right. So he went into meditation and asked for guidance about a title. He wanted the book to be special, to captivate the imagination of the public, so the title was critical. He went to bed each night with the phrase in his mind: “Mega bestseller”.

What Do You Do When You Are Turned Down 134 Times?

After a few days, Hanson woke up with the phrase “Chicken Soup” in his mind. He didn't understand until he remembered that his mom had always made him chicken soup when he was sick. After more contemplation, the final title was born: “Chicken Soup for the Soul”. Everybody he shared this title with got goose bumps almost instantly.

However, even though a major breakthrough had been achieved with the title, bills were piling up, and his spouse got more nervous with each passing day. The title was there but the book was not selling. How could they continue to promote the book to publishers when real life was intruding so heavily?

Hansen received over 33 rejection letters even though he was not an unknown in his field. In the following weeks, he was turned down by 134 more publishers. Finally, a small printing company agreed to take on the project if the authors agreed to buy the first 20,000 copies!

What is the answer to every difficult circumstance in life?

Take the positive path.

Choosing the positive path can be easy at some times in our life and more difficult at other times. When everything is going along well, when we are on a roll, choosing the positive path just flows through us as an easy, natural choice. When something negative comes along it can be far more challenging for us to choose the positive path. But choose it we must! No matter how challenging the negativity may be, there is simply no other way to bring our lives back into positivity.

If negative situations appear, you must use your will and refuse to lower yourself to negative thoughts, words, actions, and emotions. Use your will and decide that not only will you focus on the positive, but you will ramp up the positive in every thought, word, and action of your day.

It takes determination, strength, faith, and the power of your will to focus on the positive when intense negativity descends, but remember that the Universe and the law of attraction are with you. As you focus on the positive, focus more on the positive, think of the positive, speak of the positive, and take positive and good actions, the law of attraction will give your life wings. Suddenly you will look around you and you will find that the negativity has gone, and that your life has been filled with goodness and joy.

"Like so many others I was an abused and unwanted child. Suicide, eating disorders, and other self-harm became my safety net. I carried these feelings of worthlessness and zero self-esteem into my adult life.

Giving is the Nature of Abundance

Abundance is a fascinating topic. A solid understanding of it can make you rich in many ways. So, let's examine the root of abundance, which is giving.

Until a few years ago, I thought the notion, "You only get what you give" was illogical nonsense. I mean, think about it, how can giving be related to getting? Isn't it true that the more you save, the more you have?

Well, in recent years I have come to understand the secret to abundant living and having everything you want. The secret is GIVING. You MUST give in order to receive. Yes, it's a religious concept, but it's also universally true.

Here's how abundance works (and how to be rich) from a hypnotherapy point of view...

When we hoard things and we are stingy with money, time, etc., it sends our subconscious mind the message that the universe is not a safe place and that we must collect things and keep them if we want to have them.

Working with depression-era clients has taught me a lot about this. People who lived through the economic depression in the United States in the 1920s and 30s often feel that they need to hold on to as much money and as many things as possible. Often their homes will be filled with clutter...things they keep "just in case." They feel that the universe could cut off their supply at any time, so
they must grab things and hold on to them. This idea of clinging, collecting and hoarding is the opposite of an abundant mindset.

The universe is ALWAYS ready to give more. There will ALWAYS be more money and another opportunity. I prefer to call this type of abundant mindset "living with an open hand." When you have your hand open, it can give and receive.

When you live in this manner: giving, sharing, and letting go of worry about the future, you live abundantly. Trust the Universe

You know about the the need to trust the Universe to take care of you. Here is a
prime example of how that works successfully. I received this email and wanted to share it with you:

Last night a friend called to say she was a little concerned. She had flown across the country on business and because of a glitch in her bank account she couldn't get any money out. She had only 8 cents in her purse to make it through the next day. Which was OK,if she was coming home right away, but she already had a ticket to
fly to another city on business the next day. My friend didn't know how she'd get from the airport to the hotel or how she'd eat if she did get there.

On top of that, her daughter had gone that weekend to visit friends four hours away from her college home. While there she became very ill and underwent emergency surgery. The bad part was the daughter didn't have any cash either. She didn't know how she would get back to the dorms when the hospital released her the next day.

Right away I wanted to fix it and asked what I could do. But my friend said, "I'm not worried, I wrote it all down."

Now, I'm a very confident guy, but it's been a long time since I was down to 8 cents in my pocket. I do, however, still remember that dreadful feeling of doom that surrounds you at times like that. So I asked again and again. "What can I do?" But there was no real way to get money to her. Besides my friend was positively
resolute. Several times she said, "I'm not worried, I wrote it all down."

Tonight she called back to say that her client in the first city met her at the airport before she left and, unasked, gave her $80 expense money. The client said, "I just felt like I should come and make sure you had enough money." The client even said she felt a little foolish for being there. My friend reasured her that she did the right thing.

Now, my friend was provided for because she trusted the Universe to take care of her.

It takes a lot of trust to head to a plane flight with only 8 cents in your pocket. But she did. She was more than cofident, she was enthusiastic about her coming adventure. I had to wonder how many folks could have that attitude giving the circumstances.

"I'm not worried, I wrote it all down."

But her test isn't my test and it's not your test. The real question is can you be confident when your test comes? When money is scarce and expenses seem impossible to meet. When the wolf is howling at the front door and you are all out of options. When you know there's no possible way you can make it happen.

Then as always, those who trust can always say, "I'm not worried, I wrote it all down."

Oh, by the way, the hospital bought her daughter a bus ticket home and gave her a blanket and a pillow for the ride. They told her to send a check when she could.

The Universe opens the door, provides the means, makes safe the path and guides your way. All you have to do is allow it to happen. That's the big secret to success.

Ask and receive.

Learn to Trust the Universe and you never have to worry again.

P.S. Our friend picked up another client at the second city. When she went to get on the flight home it was over booked. The airline gave her another $500.00 and a first class ticket to fly an hour or so later. Plus a pass to the first class lounge and dinner voucher. She had steak and a drink while she waited. Our
friend said she was really tired and needed that first class room to stretch out and sleep.

Mental Prisons - Bob Proctor

Some time ago I did a show on Habits. They play an important role in your life. Like many aspects of your life, habits can be considered both a blessing and a curse. Robert Russell in his magnificent little book "You Try It" wrote that habit was God's way of making good automatic in your life.

I had a wonderful friend in Atlanta, the late Dr. Jay Dishman, who wrote an excellent article about habit in his monthly newsletter dated February 1985. I have shared Dr. Dishman's article with thousands of people around the world. Today I want to share it with you. Here goes!

"Recently I visited Alcatraz Prison. Once it housed the most hardened of criminals. Today it is open to tourists under the direction of the United States Parks Department. Many men have tried to escape Alcatraz; no one is known to have succeeded. As I listened to the tour guide explain the impossibility of escape, I thought of other prisons equally confining but where the doors are never locked, no guards walk the halls, and escape is encouraged and possible. That prison is Habit."

Our habit is thinking about ourselves and our environment as a jail or a paradise. We need but to look around us to see people who are rich emotionally and materially because they think and feel rich. We also see people who are laden with emotional and material debt because they think lack. Some are inspired with vision, others are encumbered with doubt. Some are moved by ambition, others feel safer in monotony. Some reach for the mountain tops, others huddle in the pits. Some seek opportunity, others wait for it to knock. The sad fact is that more people are confined by their thoughts than are fed by them.

Negative thinking shuts us in a prison, but there is a way out. The apostle Paul said, "Be transformed by the renewal of your mind." Paul knew a lot about prisons, both physical and mental. You renew your life by renewing your mind. You renew your mind when you change your habit of thinking.

Dr. Jay Dishman helped thousands change their habit of thinking in his lifetime. Now hopefully he has helped you.

I recently took a guided tour of the former prison in Tongeren, Belgium. This was a post-arrest prison where prisoners were locked up for 22 hours per day to give them time to reflect on what they had done. Many of their comments have been posted around the walls. Some men could not adapt to freedom outside of prison with the responsibility of making an honest living and soon found themselves back in prison, repeatedly. One man wrote, "I'm born on my feets, that's why I'm on the streets". What limited thinking caused this man to believe that his past circumstances should dictate his future? John F DeMartini, one of the speakers in "The Secret", was homeless for a while after he left home at 17 but he used the experience as a reason for change, not an excuse for failure. Some prisoners realised that their lack of education was holding them back so used their time of confinement positively by studying for qualifications or a new language. Others just lived from meals to work to meals to exercise, watching TV, living in that mental prison of habits, doing the same today as yesterday, instead of breaking free and creating a different future.

The choice is ours.

Does success keep eluding you in one or more areas of your life despite all of your efforts? Do you feel like you're doing all the “right” things to be successful, yet still feel like you're “missing the mark” somehow or some way? Or does it ever feel like you're missing some of the key ingredients to greater success?

Well...you're not alone.

While many success systems and teachers have done a good job of helping many to identify what they do want and how to take action steps or focus positive energy in the direction of these goals and desires, many are missing some of the key ingredients to greater success that are often overlooked.

So what are these magical keys? Well, they're not really magical, just not always obvious.

The First Missing Key to Greater Success: Relax more.

Yes, you read that correctly. The first missing key ingredient to greater success is to relax more. In other words, take it easy. Have fun. Chill out. Lighten up.

Many in their pursuit of success miss this one because they are trying soooooo hard to reach their goals, manifest their desires, and get what they want. As result, success becomes like a tense, stress-filled race to a finish line (that doesn't exist).

For me, success has always come the easiest when I was relaxed and trying to have as much fun as possible. My ideal role model here is Richard Branson. Sir Richard has reinvented fun and adventure, becoming incredibly successful and wealthy in the process.

Success is like trying to hit a baseball well. You can have a strong desire and goal to hit the ball successfully, but if you are too tense or trying too hard, you will likely either swing and miss the ball completely or pop it straight up for an easy out. The key here is to be ready, yet relaxed for your greatest chance for success.

The same is true for the game of life.

In “Law of Attraction” speak, trying too hard just creates more resistance within us, pushing further and further away the manifestation of our goals and desires.

“Once you are pointed downstream in this Current of Life (towards the goals, desires, and everything that you want), it is not necessary to put a motor on your “boat” (i.e., try harder, work harder, or focus more) to make it go faster. The Current will carry you...just let go of the oars.

When you are no longer paddling against the Current (of your life) – when you release your oars and relax into your own natural Well-Being – the Current, which is ever moving in the direction of that which you have become and all that you want, will carry you towards your desires.”

How to Relax More
Remember to relax and breathe. I know that it sounds basic and obvious, but remembering to consciously relax and breathe daily is the key here.

I remember seeing an interview with Kobe Bryant, the 2008 NBA (National Basketball Association) Most Valuable Player award recipient and winner of three consecutive basketball world championships (2000-02) playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. During this interview, he was asked what was it like to win the three consecutive world championships. He said that while it was great and a long-held desire of his, the moment passes very quickly, then it's back to work on the next goal. He said that what he really loved was the process and season leading up to each championship. That is what he enjoyed the most.

The one thing that you need to keep you aligned with the law of attraction is........to take action.

Look at the last 6 letters in the ....The Law of attrACTION, when you are presented with an opportunity by the universe you MUST act.
